Course Fluid : For Runners

On-Course Support - Water Stations 


The replenishment drink on the Wineglass course (marathon and half marathon) will be Lemon-Lime Gatorade. This will be made up at each station from powdered mix. Gatorade will be available starting with the 2 mile water station.


The current plan is to have marathon water stations located at the following approximate mile locations - 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13.3, 14, 15.8, 17.5, 19, 20.5, 21.5, 22.5, 23.8 and 25.1 (last station). This corresponds to the following distances for the half marathon - 0.9, 2.7, 4.4, 5.9, 7.4, 8.4, 9.4, 10.1 and 12.


Gatorade will be offered first (initial tables) with water offered last (later tables) at each station.


GU and/or Powergel (flavors will be announced later, but we expect to have 5 or 6 available including chocolate and espresso of course) stations will be set up with the 13.3 mile water station and with the 19 mile water station. 


Wineglass Marathon Weekend Events October 3rd - 5th, 2014 We're delighted to welcome runners to the Wineglass Expo at its new location at the Corning Museum of Glass!  In its fourth year, the Wineglass Half Marathon is proudly presented by Seneca Lake Wine Trail.  October 5, 2014 at 8:15 am the Wineglass Marathon  will mark its 33rd year running! The Wineglass Marathon is considered one of the top destination Marathons in the US. Run in the heart of the Finger Lakes, the Wineglass Marathon is a flat, fast and scenic 26.2 miles starting in Bath, NY and finishing in Corning, NY on historic Market Street. In 2011, a new tradition was born with the running of the inaugural Wineglass Half Marathon. This very popular distance is again expected to fill to capacity in its fourth year. Wineglass Weekend will also feature the Third Annual Wineglass 5K on Saturday, October 4th  sponsored for the third year by the Community Foundation of Elmira, Corning & the Finger Lakes. Registration for all three events is NOW OPEN!
